Import Documents
Importing Documents is the pre-processing side of fortis revolution. This function will take a document from a variety of formats and create the .fff language pair files for translation in fortis. The import function is how documents of various formats are converted to language pair files (.fff) for translation in the Fortis editor.

Notes for Importing from Specific Document Types
Fortis Revolution can import documents of many different types and some require special consideration. You can set the document type either by selecting Project->Project Settings from the menu before you enter the Import dialog or by clicking the Project Settings... button within the import dialog, and then selecting the Filter tab. Choose the document type in the Document Filter section drop down.
XML Importing
When selecting XML Files from the Document Filter drop down menu you will be prompted for an XPath File. You must provide the location of a valid XPath file for the XML filter to work. For more information see Writing XPath Files for Fortis Revolution

Hot Keys
This is where you can assign specific commands shortcuts.
To assign a shortcut to a command:
- Find the command you wish to add a shortcut to on the categorized list and click on it.
- In the box to the left of the assign button click and press the key combination you wish to assign. You can use the Control Key and/or the Alt key and/or the Shift key and one other key. Valid combination will appear in the shortcut box.
- Press the assign key to bind the hot key combination to the command.
- The changes will be applied when you click OK and you will be able to use the hotkey combination you created to activate the command you bound it to.
If a key combination is unavailable it is likely bound to one of the Window's defaults and you will be unable to remove the binding. It is suggested that you choose a different hot key combination. Remember you can use any combination of Controls, Alts, and Shifts with most any other key.
To remove a hot key that has been assigned:
- Find the command on the categorized list and click on it.
- In the drop-down box below the categorized list select the hot key combination you wish to remove.
- Click the remove button.
- The changes will be applied when you click OK.
